Hubli is the vibrant commercial capital of North Karnataka—a dynamic city experiencing rapid urbanization, rising disposable incomes, and an appetite for world-class lifestyle experiences. Commissioned to design Studio 19 Unisex Salon & Makeup Studio, Unitz Dezignz set out to introduce an unprecedented standard of high-end salon architecture to the region. The vision was to create an editorial, photogenic grooming sanctuary that rivals the top luxury salons of Mumbai, Paris, and Milan.

The design discards the cluttered, utilitarian aesthetic of traditional salons. Instead, it embraces a fluid, curvilinear spatial language, opulent tactile textures, and medically calibrated cosmetic lighting to deliver an environment of total pampering, relaxation, and glamour.

Fluid Spatial Flow: A Journey of Beauty and Rejuvenation

The interior architecture is organized along an organic S-curved circulation path that guides clients naturally through a sequence of pampering zones. Arriving guests enter an intimate, hotel-inspired reception foyer featuring a monolithic fluted white marble counter, warm cove lighting, and a boutique retail display showcasing high-end haircare and skincare products.

Curving partitions finished in fluted acoustic plaster and vertical brass trims subtly separate the public hair styling floor from the serene hair-wash zone, private pedicure suites, and VIP bridal makeup dressing rooms, ensuring complete privacy and acoustic tranquility for every client service.

The Styling Stations: Custom Joinery and Shadowless Illumination

The centerpiece of the main salon floor is a series of bespoke floating styling stations. Each station features an oversized arched vanity mirror framed in brushed champagne brass. Backlit by integrated 95+ CRI high-efficiency LED ribbons, the mirrors deliver soft, shadow-free cosmetic illumination that flatters skin tones and renders hair colors with absolute chromatic fidelity.

Plush styling chairs upholstered in caramel vegan leather sit on seamless terrazzo-look porcelain tiles, providing effortless mobility for stylists while guaranteeing stain resistance against hair color treatments and grooming oils.

The Hair-Wash Sanctuary: A Sensory Retreat

Recognizing that the hair-wash ritual is often the most relaxing part of a salon visit, we designed the shampoo station as a dedicated, low-light sensory sanctuary. Separated from the active styling floor by amber fluted-glass screens, the room features lowered ambient light levels and an acoustic ceiling with a fiber-optic "starry night" constellation effect.

Ergonomic Italian leather reclining shampoo loungers with integrated shiatsu massage rollers allow clients to completely unwind to soft ambient music, transforming a routine hair wash into a deeply therapeutic wellness ritual.

VIP Bridal Suites and Pedicure Pavilions

For brides and VIP clients seeking bespoke privacy on their wedding day, Studio 19 provides private dressing suites complete with full-length three-way viewing mirrors, dedicated garment closets, and private vanity consoles.

The dedicated manicure and pedicure lounge features raised custom stone platforms with built-in whirlpool footbaths, accompanied by oversized velvet armchairs and brushed brass cocktail tables where clients can enjoy complimentary herbal teas while receiving beauty treatments.

Acoustic and Environmental Excellence

A busy salon can easily become cacophonous with hairdryers, chatter, and water flow. To ensure a peaceful customer experience, we engineered comprehensive acoustic absorption into the ceiling plane using micro-perforated acoustic panels and fabric-wrapped wall baffles that absorb sound reflections.

A high-capacity dedicated ventilation system with continuous carbon-air filtration rapidly extracts chemical fumes from keratin and coloring treatments, maintaining a crisp, fresh, and fragrant indoor atmosphere at all times.
